Use It or Lose It!
Did you know any money left in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at the end of the year is lost? This type of plan, in addition to a Health Savings Account (HSA), is designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses and sunglasses, contacts, and vision correction surgery. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs your insurance doesn't cover. FSA policies do not roll over into the next calendar year and must be used by December 31st of each year. Any unused FSA funds are returned to the employer.
A Health Savings Account is basically the same as a Flexible Spending Account with the exception that funds in an HSA do not expire and CAN be carried over year after year. Illinois Eye Associates accepts payments from both FSAs and HSAs.
Illinois Eye Associates is proud to be a part of the Vision Service Plan (VSP), EyeMed, and Human Vision Care Plan (VCP) vision networks. We also offer a Davis Vision vision discount to patient who have BCBS of IL medical policies. We accept a variety of medical insurances that can be billed independently or may be coordinated with vision insurances to maximize your savings. Medical insurances that we accept include, but are not limited to: BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, Medicaid, PBA, United Health Care and most union plans.
